How to Play Three Kingdoms: Oath of the Peach Garden

- Play the novel's full arc across sixteen chapters: the Yellow Turbans, the campaign against Dong Zhuo, Hulao Gate, the Beauty Trap, the escape from Cao Cao, the Five Passes, the Three Visits, the fires of Bowang and Xinye, Changban, the Borrowed Arrows, Red Cliffs, the vexations of Zhou Yu, the road into the Riverlands, Hanzhong, the fall of Maicheng and the autumn of Wuzhang Plains.
- Progress autosaves after every chapter — return any time and continue from the chapter select.
Tips & Strategy
- Switch heroes when one runs low on hearts — a benched hero is a spare health bar.
- Guan Yu's wide arc rules crowds; Zhao Yun's dash punishes archers and bosses.
- Every boss telegraphs: Lü Bu rears his horse, Zhang Jiao glows before his volleys — learn the cue, then punish.
Three Kingdoms: Oath of the Peach Garden — Frequently Asked Questions
Does the game cover the whole Romance of the Three Kingdoms?
Yes — sixteen chapters walk the novel's Shu thread from beginning to end: the Peach Garden Oath, Dong Zhuo and Diao Chan, Lü Bu at Hulao Gate, the green-plum wine test, the Five Passes, Zhuge Liang's cottage, the fires of Bowang and Xinye, Changban, the borrowed arrows and Red Cliffs, Zhou Yu's three vexations, the conquest of the Riverlands, Hanzhong, Guan Yu's last stand at Maicheng and Zhuge Liang's final autumn at Wuzhang Plains.
How does hero switching work?
You control one hero while the rest wait in reserve; Tab or tapping a portrait swaps instantly. Each hero keeps their own hearts, and a fallen hero returns at the next chapter. Some chapters follow the novel — Guan Yu rides the Five Passes alone, and guest heroes like Huang Zhong join for their own battles.
How long is the full campaign and is it saved?
A complete run of all sixteen chapters takes roughly two to three hours. The game autosaves your unlocked chapters and best times in your browser, so you can finish the saga across many visits.
